Advantages of Learning Chinese at AJ

Chinese Language Courses

The Chinese language courses offered by the Confucius Institute at the Jagiellonian Academy in Toruń are taught by native-speaking teachers from China.
Courses are organized according to proficiency levels and include both group and individual classes.

All programmes are aligned with the HSK Examination Guidelines and follow the new NOCFL Syllabus.

Courses are fully compliant with the CEFR – Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, established by the Council of Europe.

The National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (Hanban & Confucius Institute Headquarters).

HSK

HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) is the official standardized test assessing Chinese language proficiency for non-native speakers.

HSK4

Achieving level HSK4 or higher enables foreign students to apply for scholarships and pursue studies at universities in China.

HSK

HSK exam results are valid for two years.
All proficiency levels are aligned with the Council of Europe language competence framework.

Chinese Language Learning at AJ

Since 2015, the Jagiellonian Academy has carried out extensive activities promoting Chinese culture.
All cultural events related to China in Toruń are the result of cooperation between the Jagiellonian Academy and Hubei University in Wuhan,
supported by the official agency of the Chinese government — HANBAN.

One of the key components of this cooperation is Chinese language teaching conducted
by highly qualified native Chinese instructors delegated directly by the Chinese side.

In accordance with the programme’s guidelines, two age groups are available: one for high school students
and university students, and another for working adults
(including public administration employees, tourism industry staff, employees of companies engaged
in trade cooperation with China, as well as part-time students).
