Vigo University
At the beginning of February, the delegation of the Jagiellonian College (Prof. Grzegorz Górski and Rev. Dr. Adam Machowski) visited Spain, to the University of Vigo. Our representatives stayed at the University of Ourense Campus. They met there with the Vice-President of the University managing this Campus, Mrs. Esther de Blas Varela.
The course of the visit
During his stay at UV, prof. dr hab. Grzegorz Górski and priest dr Adam Machowski gave lectures for students of the local campus, and discussed the directions of development of cooperation with the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences of this University. Together with Spanish professors, they also held scientific seminars, during which opinions on pre-school and early-school education in both countries were exchanged.
Both sides recognized the need to intensify cooperation within the ERASMUS + program (student exchange and academic exchange), as well as scientific and publishing-publication cooperation. In the near future Toruń will be visited by a delegation from Spain, while our representatives will go to Spain to discuss cooperation with the local Law Department.
The University of Vigo is a modern and innovative institution offering over 50 degrees of courses on three different campuses:
Vigo campus – including both the Lagoas Marcosende campus (15 km from the city center) and the historic campus in Torrecedeira,
Ourense Campus,
Pontevedra campus.
On three campuses, over 24,000 students are registered, and 1,600 lecturers conduct undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University. Vigo University is an institution involved in international cooperation, has signed over 400 cooperation agreements with higher education institutions in 38 different countries.
