On December 4th, 2016 a seminar about augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) took place in Jagiellonian College. Introduction to the seminar was presented by prof. Katryn Drager from Pennsylwania State University (USA). Prof. Drager is well known specialist in this area with exceptional acedemic achievements.
The presentation was concerned with the importance of alternative communication methods for disabled persons. Scientific approach and sensivity of prof. Drager were a great inspiration for seminar’s participants.
Next presentations concentrated on various aspects of AAC – psychological, sociological, pedagogical and others. They were presented by Jagiellonian College professors: prof. Wojciech Gulin, dr Karolina Wiśniewska and by Mrs. Aldona Mysakowska – Adamczyk, leading Polish expert on AAC.
