HE Prof. Václav Klaus to be awarded the Jagiellonian Prize.

We kindly invite all the Professors, Students and Alumni of the Jagiellonian College for the Feast of the University that will be held on August 12th, 2017 at 11:00 am. During the ceremony, the Rector’s awards will be presented to distinguished Professors and Graduates of our University. Alumni of the Classes 2017 will receive their diplomas.

The main point of the ceremony will be the award of the Jagiellonian Prize to the Former President of the Czech Republic His Excellency Prof. Václav Klaus. The Jagiellonian Prize is awarded in recognition of outstanding contributions to the political, economic, cultural, scientific or social development of Central and Eastern Europe.

Prof. Václav Klaus as a long-term first Prime Minister and then President of the Czech Republic has undoubtedly contributed to the development of Central and Eastern Europe. He was a great advocate of our region during his service to the Czech nation and other peoples of our region. He was and remains a great friend of Poland and Polich people.

We are proud that HE Prof. Václav Klaus has accepted our award and we are pleased that we will be able to celebrate the Jagiellonian Prize award ceremony during the Feast of the University.
